Faris is one of our physios and he has very kindly allowed me to show you how your feet play a major role in musculoskeletal balance, symmetry and subsequent injuries.

Faris has hind foot collapse – worse on his left than his right, but present in both feet. This is where your heel bone does not remain square to the ground on weight-bearing, due to lax ligaments through the foot. If you look at the video you will be able to see this occurring. Because his left heel collapses more than his right, it is also causing a leg length discrepancy, with his left leg appearing shorter than his right.

All of these issues can be identified and treated here at The Physical Therapy Clinic.
